Misprints Publishing Roadmap
Wen books?
Tomorrow is my last day at work. While the majority of my newfound time will be spent taking care of family things, I will still need to bring in some type of cash. I had started some of this a few years ago when I wrote my first book and created Misprints Publishing as an imprint to get thing looking a little more professional. A full time job took up too much time to continue proper novel writing so I switched to short form flash fiction and began MOSFET Mag to post them. Now I have a handful of outlines ready to finish, some you can see were posted on Misprints as “coming soon”.
So to consolidate some of these project fragments and stories before I invest expensive time to complete them, I’m constructing a publishing stack to better let the reader know who/what/where a story is coming from.
Misprints Publishing
Going forward Misprints will be the great big container for all my literary products. All projects going forward will have the little Misprints book logo stamped somewhere. The novels and any other printed material will be set up directly under this name.
Kiseru Press
Hey, a real imprint! Back when I was coming up with MOSFET Mag I was originally going with the name Kiseru Press for an online literary magazine. After watching a few others try to run their own solo magazines I realized I wasn’t ready to commit to that level of work and shelved the idea. Now I can add it back to the Misprints roadmap.
Roadmap V1
Summer 2022
3 new stories on MOSFET Mag
Novella 1 in beta reading stage
Kiseru Press pre launch
Fall 2022
3 new stories on MOSFET Mag
Novella 1 complete
Novella 2 in beta
Kiseru Press opens for subs
Winter 2022
3 new stories on MOSFET Mag
Novella 3 in beta
Novella 2 complete
Kiseru Press First Issue
Now, that looks like a ton of work, and it is, but I’m hoping with the work I’ve already done so far I can reach all these goals much easier than starting from scratch. That and novellas for me are 40K stand-alone stories. No need for the readers to “wait” for a series to be complete before starting anything.
You can follow everything on Twitter for now where I’ll likely be making updates because that’s where the litmag world is.
